Michael
Thank you for your ministry at Harvest last week. It
has taken me this long to find you on the web and have
enough time to say properly how your sermon affected
me.
20 years ago this week I turned up at AA as a 29 year
old drunk and occasional drug taker. Lying, cheating
and being afraid were a way of life to me. I lived
in a world were I was the only real person, every one
else was treated as something less. Without going into
too much detail here (which would take all day) I have
not had a drink or anything else since that night!
Praise God!
About three years ago a local Pastor became a client
of mine ( I have a small picture framing business)
I worked up enough courage to ask him about Jesus and
any resources he might have to find out more about
Christianity. The rest as they say is History. I now
play in the worship team at Harvest.
Until your talk last week I have considered my move
into Church as a 'step up' which of course it is, but
I realise now that I have downgraded my AA experience,
which was the miracle in the first place!
Your sermon married my AA experience with my Christian
experience for the first time. I don't know how well
versed you are with AA and it's approach to alcohol
problems but your ideas could fit straight into an
AA meeting. In particular I am refering to the ideas
of powerlessness, effortlessness and the belief that
God can and will transform you if you surrender to
him totally.
I now consider my transformation twenty years ago as
a Holy spirit experience, it only lasted a few seconds
and felt like the wind that was buffeting me at the
time went straight through me and took the internal
chaos and madness with it. I was left a different person
and I am still inspired and fuelled by that experience
today!
I would love to meet and discuss this further when
your schedule permits. Thank you so much for your time
and God bless you until we meet again.

Dear
Pastor Bassett,
We would like to thank you and tell you how much
we appreciate the seed you sowed at our Leadership
Conference this past November. You were such a
blessing to our body and the testimonies of revelation,
freedom and deliverance are still in abundance.
We look forward to connecting with you again in
the near future. May God bless you richly!
Yours
in Service,

Eagle Faith Conference - Ohio Aug 2008
Hello Mrs. Bassett,
I visited your web site after being told about your fine artistic ability by your husband, whom I have nicknames as the "Pastor of Purpose". You and your are are beautiful as he described. I was so blessed when your husband came to the conference in Youngstown, OH...My spiritual life will never be the same. I now have hope and believe that God is going to work out my "confused and mixed up circumstance." I'm going to continue to study the word to show myself approved unto God...
